Published information and legal engagement<\/h3>\n<p>Articles and materials on this website are provided for general information and reflect the context at their stated publication or update date. Applying them to a particular situation requires an assessment of the relevant facts, documents and law. They do not guarantee the outcome of litigation or negotiations.<\/p>\n<p>Contacting the office or booking an appointment does not automatically engage a lawyer to represent you in a case. The scope of the engagement, the lawyer providing the service, the fee and applicable conditions are established in the legal services agreement. Acceptance is also subject to checking for conflicts of interest.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Consultations and booking<\/h3>\n<p>The booking page displays the available services, duration, fees and appointment times. Please check these details before confirming your booking and payment.<\/p>\n<p>Briefly describe your query and provide any requested documents through the channel agreed with the office. Do not send card details by email or WhatsApp. Card payments are processed through Stripe. Booking an appointment does not suspend or extend a procedural deadline. For urgent matters, contact the office directly and obtain confirmation that the matter has been accepted.<\/p>\n<p>If a request cannot be accepted, including because of a conflict of interest, the office will inform you and refund the amount paid for the consultation that does not take place.<\/p>\n<h3>4. Cancellation and refunds<\/h3>\n<p>If the consultation does not take place, for any reason, the amount paid for it will be refunded in full, without penalties.<\/p>\n<p>You may contact us by email or WhatsApp about your appointment or refund.<\/p>\n<h3>5. Consumer withdrawal from a distance contract<\/h3>\n<p>A consumer entering into a distance contract has a 14-day right of withdrawal, subject to Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34\/2014, starting from the conclusion of the service contract. Withdrawal may be communicated by an unequivocal statement sent to the office by email; a standard form is not mandatory.<\/p>\n<p>If services are to begin during this period, an express request is required. If you withdraw after services have begun at your request, any amount due for services actually provided is determined in accordance with the law. The right of withdrawal is lost after full performance only if the statutory conditions regarding prior consent and information have been met. Merely booking a date does not waive this right. The full-refund policy in section 4 applies whenever the consultation does not take place. Statutory refunds are made within the applicable legal time limit using the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise, without additional costs to the consumer.<\/p>\n<h3>6. Intellectual property and liability<\/h3>\n<p>The office&#8217;s original materials and visual identity are protected by law. Use is permitted within statutory exceptions or with the rights holder&#8217;s consent. Links to external publications and resources identify the source; those websites are managed by their respective operators.<\/p>\n<p>The office takes reasonable care to maintain the accuracy of information and the operation of this website. Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not exclude professional liability or the client&#8217;s mandatory rights.<\/p>\n<h3>7. Your right to contact the competent authorities, professional bodies or courts is unaffected. We use these to respond, check availability and arrange the consultation. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing the contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For representatives of organisations, communication also relies on our legitimate interest in managing the professional relationship, Article 6(1)(f).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Payments and refunds:<\/strong> transaction details, amount, payment status and information needed for refunds and tax records, based on contract performance and legal obligations, Article 6(1)(b) and (c). Stripe processes card payments. Do not send full card details by email or WhatsApp.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Website operation and security:<\/strong> technical information such as IP address, browser and access logs may be processed to operate the website, identify incidents and prevent abuse, based on legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Measurement and advertising:<\/strong> Google Analytics and Google Ads load according to your cookie category choices. Optional processing relies on consent, which you can withdraw. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent you from requesting a consultation.<\/p>\n<p>You do not need to provide a personal identification number or sensitive documents in the booking form. If required for the engagement, these are requested separately. Special-category data and data concerning criminal convictions or offences are processed only under the applicable legal conditions, including Articles 9 and 10 GDPR and professional rules, to the extent necessary for legal assistance.<\/p>\n<h3>Who may receive your data<\/h3><p>Depending on the operation, information is accessible to the law office and the providers necessary for hosting, maintenance, email, bookings and payments, within their respective responsibilities and obligations. Hosting and email services are provided by ROMARG SRL. Amelia is installed on the website to manage bookings. Stripe processes payments under its own terms and privacy notices. If you choose WhatsApp or visit external pages, the respective providers\u2019 privacy notices also apply. Google receives information associated with optional services when you enable them through consent.<\/p>\n<p>For a legal engagement, information may be shared with participating lawyers and other professionals, courts, authorities or other recipients necessary to carry out the engagement or comply with the law, subject to professional confidentiality. Providing contact details for a booking is not treated as implied consent to advertising messages.<\/p>\n<p>International services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Google and Stripe describe their use of adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses, where applicable, in their international transfer notices. You may request information about the safeguards applicable to an operation concerning you.<\/p>\n<h3>How long data is retained<\/h3><p>Retention depends on purpose. Enquiries and bookings are kept for as long as necessary to manage them and resolve potential complaints. Contractual, professional and tax records are retained in accordance with applicable legal and professional obligations. Disputes or preservation obligations may require additional retention. The need for retention is reviewed periodically, and data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised where the law permits.<\/p>\n<h3>Your rights<\/h3><p>Subject to the GDPR, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Erasure and portability are not absolute and do not override legal retention duties or professional confidentiality.<\/p>\n<p>Send requests to alin@panghios.ro. We may request only additional information necessary to confirm your identity. We generally respond within one month; any legally permitted extension will be explained. You may complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dataprotection.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ANSPDCP<\/a>, and seek a remedy before the competent courts.<\/p>\n<p>The information required for a booking enables us to arrange your consultation; without it we may be unable to process your request.
